I have to thank my crew who has been supporting me for many years and who doesn’t let me make any mistakes. Meaning that they never put the camera where I say to. Audience Award for Highest Box Office Achievement in 2018: Moromete Family: On the Edge of Time (directed by Stere Gulea)

“Thank you very much to all who really helped me make this film. A very difficult film to make, because, as you know, expectations were very high and disappointment was right there, on the corner. So thanks to these people who helped me, collaborators, actors, family, I can only thank you for being here tonight after 23 years. “– Stere Gulea

2019 Special Gopo Award: Ion Nica, master in light designing

“I’m going to find out who’s guilty for me being here. Thank you to the jury. I’m not going to talk much, but I’ll try to give some advice to the young camera operators. Watching the films that are being made lately, although I know who shot them, I get tired at the end when I have to watch all the credits to see where the camera operator is mentioned- who was in fact the director of photography. I advise young operators to take advantage of the fact that there’s still a Vivi Drăgan, that there are still some operators a little older than them, to regain the place they once had. On any film credits, right after screenwriter and director.”– Ion Nica

“What struck me was the remarkable quality of knowing people. […] He was an elegant man with a fabulous culture.”– Marius Panduru

“He was very inventive and he was passing you his enthusiasm. It is very important to have someone who has confidence in you and when you turn to him he looks into your eyes as if he read your mind and wants to help you.”– Nicolae Margineanu

Life Career Awards: Constantin Dinulescu, Ileana Stana Ionescu

“It is a moment when you can get emotional. Many years ago, at the age of 18, I was thrilled to enter a huge competition, a marathon of our profession, which I went through for 68 years, day by day, with passion, faith and respect for the public. And as the years passed, the footsteps began to become more and more wavering, and in that moment this little man appeared who gave me a bowl of cold and clear spring water. A deep reverence in front of those who made the little man get to me too, and I must confess that in our world, the actors, the elders have a word that has been tested in time and proven its truth: “We, the actors we live as long as our generation lives. >> And for this I want to wish you many years from now on, healthy, vigorous and with full pockets. “– Constantin Dinulescu

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this award. Thank you so much to those who thought to see me in its presence. I was saying to my young colleagues that it’s very hard to accept this award after a lifetime of awards, because I was an honor child. But this award is worth everything I’ve had in a lifetime and I thank you with all my heart.”– Ileana Stana Ionescu

Special Award for Supporting and Encouraging Independent Film Production in Romania: Dan Chişu

“I think he is one of the first people who wanted to make films, to make his films and make them whatever the cost.” – Miruna Berescu
